Powder coating itself does not contain organic solvents, and almost no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are generated during the spraying process. （1） Powder spray gun

Manual powder gun

Manual powder gun is mainly used for small workpieces or some local areas that require high spraying accuracy. It consists of gun body, nozzle, electrode needle and other parts. The operator manually controls the angle, distance, and spraying time of the spray gun to achieve powder spraying. For example, in the painting of some handicrafts, craftsmen can use manual powder guns to finely paint the details of the handicrafts.

Automatic powder gun

Automatic powder guns are usually installed on spraying equipment in automated production lines. It can automatically spray the workpiece according to the preset program. Its structure is more complex, generally including high-pressure generator, powder pump, fluidization device, etc. In the car body painting production line, the automatic powder gun can quickly and evenly spray the car body according to the set trajectory and parameters.

（2） Powder supply device

Powder bucket

A powder bucket is a container for storing powder coatings. It is generally made of stainless steel material to prevent powder coating from being contaminated. There is a stirring device inside the powder bucket to prevent powder coating from clumping. For example, in large industrial painting workshops, the capacity of powder drums can reach hundreds of liters, which can meet long-term production needs.

Powder supply pump

The function of the powder supply pump is to transport powder coating from the powder bucket to the spray gun. Common ones include Venturi pumps and screw pumps. The Venturi pump uses the negative pressure generated by high-speed airflow to transport powder, while the screw pump pushes the powder forward through the rotation of the screw. In practical applications, the appropriate powder supply pump should be selected based on the characteristics and spraying requirements of different powder coatings.

Fluidization device

The fluidization device is designed to keep the powder coating in a good fluidized state in the powder bucket. It injects an appropriate amount of compressed air into the bottom of the powder bucket, making the powder coating liquid like and easy to transport by the powder pump. If the fluidization effect is not good, the powder coating may block the powder supply pipeline.

（3） Recycling device

cyclone separator

The cyclone separator is an important component in the recycling device. When the powder that does not adhere to the workpiece during the spraying process is sucked into the recycling system, it first enters the cyclone separator. In a cyclone separator, under the action of high-speed rotating airflow, larger particles of powder will be separated and settled at the bottom of the separator for recovery due to different centrifugal forces.

Filter cartridge filter

After passing through the cyclone separator, fine powder particles will be further filtered through the filter element. Filter cartridges are generally made of materials such as polyester fibers, which can effectively filter out small powder particles. The filtered powder will fall back into the recycling system for reuse under the backwash effect of the filter.

Recycling pipelines and fans

The recycling pipeline is used to connect various recycling components and transport unattached powder to the recycling device. The fan provides power to create negative pressure within the recycling system, ensuring smooth recovery of the powder.

（4） Curing equipment

Curing oven

The curing oven is a key equipment for solidifying powder coatings into films. It usually uses electric heating or gas heating methods. In the curing furnace, the powder coating on the surface of the workpiece undergoes a chemical reaction under certain temperature and time conditions, forming a hard and smooth coating. For example, in the coating of metal products, the temperature of the curing furnace is usually set at around 180-200 ℃, and the curing time varies depending on factors such as the type of coating and the thickness of the workpiece.

Temperature control system

The temperature control system is used to precisely control the temperature inside the curing furnace. It includes temperature sensors, controllers, and heating elements. Real time monitoring of the temperature inside the curing furnace is achieved through temperature sensors, and the signal is fed back to the controller. The controller adjusts the power of the heating element based on the set temperature parameters to ensure temperature stability during the curing process.
